Temple Run: Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat is easily the most recognizable of all the landmarks in Cambodia. Its so famous that its even printed on their bills!

We had already visited it earlier in the day (to catch the sunrise) but we went back in the afternoon to explore the rest of the HUGE temple.

That's our group, walking towards the back of the temple. Look how pretty the path is! Felt like we were literally in another world.

We kept calling this the 'Harvard path' haha ;-)

Because I'm Pocholo's favorite model.

Cutie monks taking a breather in the shade.

That's the view of Angkor Wat from the back entrance.

The vast grounds.

That's me in one of the galleries. The carvings are so intricate, and so perfect, and are surprisingly well-preserved. Our tour guide acted as story-teller and interpreted what all the carvings meant, and we were trying our best to listen and not act like the little kids we are haha. He also kept reminding us that we weren't supposed to touch the walls. Ermmm, okay. *insert mental images of Karla and Tina touching the carvings haha*

Goody! Another high temple to climb!

Notice how we are all in pants/leggings and covered shoulders. The one temple in Cambodia (or at least the only one we visited) that has a strict dress code.

That's us taking a break while Timmy (who had my camera at that time) and Tess were still upstairs, looking around and taking pictures.
