Went to Cebu a few years ago with a few of our RF loves.
Had no idea what hotel or resort to stay in, but I luckily found this resort called 'Talima' online. Was pleasantly surprised when we actually saw it in person, and we had such a good stay there.
The sunsets at the resort were breathtaking. We kept calling it 'The Caldera' cause we felt like we were (sorta, kinda) in Santorini.
Spent 1 whole day away from the little island we were staying on, and we toured the city and did all the tourist-y things. Ended up going home to our island in the wee hours of the morning - which meant us having to get on a barge (WHAT IS SCARY) and riding a trike (and it breaking down!) in the middle of nowhere.
Our friend Karla arranged an Islands Banca boat to take us island hopping on our last day. Especially loved Pandanon Beach, where we had lunch and spent most of the day. That island still ranks high on my list of the best beaches we've ever been to :)
