Back in January, we had days off of work and out of curiosity, we decided to finally pay a visit to Pinto.
Pinto has been on our list of places to visit for a while now, and since it's only about an hour's drive away, it was a good way to spend our holiday.
The good part about going on a holiday - no traffic! We got there earlier than expected.
The not-so-good part... there were quite a lot of people there as well. No worries though, as the place is big enough for people to roam around and explore, without that 'crowded' atmosphere of tourist attractions.
Minutes into the start of our Pinto adventure, we were already enjoying the sights. The gardens and grounds are beautiful! All those white washed walls and lush greenery.. *insert heart eyes emojis* It's a good place to sit down and reflect, if you're into that sort of thing.
We, of course, are more the let's-take-photos-everywhere type and with all the scenic backgrounds, it was basically a great photo day for us.
The indoor galleries are just as picture-perfect as the outdoor grounds.
More of those gorgeous white washed walls!
There are actually guided tours that you can take, but we don't really appreciate the rigid structures of tours and would much rather go off and explore on our own. There's something to be said about being able to spend more time in one place that you find interesting or that you enjoy, rather than only being given a certain amount of time and having to move on to another area.
We spent about 3 hours touring and milling around, and I would say that it was more than enough time to cover the whole place.
Over-all, it was a great way to spend the day and you definitely get more than your money's worth.
